1:00 - 2:00 PM - Visa Presents: Emerging Consumer Payments: Growing Your Business with Every Transaction. Visa will launch an Europay Mastercard Visa (EMV) Chip Technology education awareness campaign in January 2015 to educate small and medium-sized merchants on the transition from magnetic swipe debit and credit cards to EMV Chip Enabled payments between now and October 1, 2015.

While the primary purpose of the campaign is to educate merchants on EMV Chip Technology and how they can transition successfully to this new payments system, discussion of EMV Chip Technology will fall under a broader discussion of emerging consumer payments (both digital and electronic) and how these new payments systems impact business’ bottom line, including driving sales and revenue, increasing customer security and protecting customer data. Visa will also distribute an electronic toolkit to initiative attendees.

The Greater Austin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and Tech Ranch will each take the stage to discuss their programming and how each is complimenting the other through this new partnership. Both programs are focused on small business and entrepreneur development and will present specific ways that the community can connect with each.

2:45 PM – 3:15 PM – Company Presentations:
Individuals from two local, hispanic, startup companies will be presenting their businesses to the group. These individuals will discuss how both Tech Ranch and the City of Austin have made their dreams a reality. Company information coming soon…

3:15 PM – 4:00 PM – Featured Speakers:
Two thought leaders who strongly support the Hispanic community as well as the small business community will be speaking. Speaker information coming soon…
