SX Create, presented by Silicon Labs, will take place March 13-15th at the Long Center. Held during the first part of SXSW Interactive, the event is FREE and OPEN to the public each of those days, from 11am – 6pm. While visitors will require a Guest Pass, those will be available for free onsite.
SX Create is comprised of three parts: the Hands-On Pavilion, Session Tracks, and Meet Ups.
We are so pleased to be sharing the space with a wealth of amazing makers, creators, “thinkertinkers,” and community builders at this event, open to the good people of Austin, who are eager to experience the magic of SXSW Interactive. In addition to sponsor Silicon Labs, participants include SparkFun, Austin Mini Maker Faire, ATX Hackerspace (and numerous other makerspace groups from around the country), Girlstart, The Thinkery, HP, Raspberry Pi, Austin Energy, Dremel, The Edge of Imagination Station, and so many more.
STEAM3 was birthed and launched in Austin at UT in 2014 and will take place again this September 11th and 12th, 2015 in Atlanta, GA in collaboration with Georgia State University.
In addition to offering information about what STEAM3 - exploring the future of learning and education - is all about, we will also be bringing to the event a taste of the future through our mini interactive playground that will give visitors the opportunity to play with everything from a collection of award-winning serious games from MIT Game Lab, ADL's Imaginarium, building a future virtual classroom, to augmented reality for enhanced learning.
